All betta fish here at OPF are captive bred and raised by us! The parents are either imported from Thailand or "rescued" from Petco and/or Petsmart! The parents are carefully assessed before breeding for things such any abnormities, and missing fins that may be genetic. They are fattened up and kept under amazing conditions, thus giving us beautiful, healthy, active babies!
